🏛️ Operation and Structure of PPGAdm Committees

The Graduate Program in Administration (PPGAdm) at UFSC has a collegial structure composed of two main bodies: the Full Committee and the Delegated Committee. These committees are responsible for making decisions regarding the program’s operations, ensuring academic quality, and compliance with established guidelines.

1. Full Committee

The Full Committee is the highest deliberative body of PPGAdm. It is composed of all faculty members in the program and is primarily responsible for defining the overall guidelines of the graduate course, including academic, curricular, and administrative policies.

Its duties include:

  • Evaluating and monitoring students
  • Approving research projects
  • Implementing improvements to the program

2. Delegated Committee

The Delegated Committee is an intermediate body composed of a smaller group of faculty members selected to represent the Full Committee. It is responsible for executing the decisions made by the Full Committee and handling more specific and operational matters of the program’s daily management.

Its responsibilities include:

  • Approving course proposals
  • Managing academic deadlines
  • Analyzing administrative cases that do not require Full Committee deliberation

🎯 Responsibilities of the Committees

Both committees share the following key responsibilities:

  • Deliberating on academic and administrative matters of PPGAdm
  • Ensuring compliance with program and institutional regulations
  • Evaluating students’ academic performance
  • Organizing academic and scientific events involving the program community

Participation in these committees is essential to the proper functioning of PPGAdm. The decisions made always aim to foster research, academic quality, and student well-being.

This collegial structure ensures faculty representation and allows for efficient and transparent management of the graduate program.
